PHYLLIS HALE HEINKEL

OBITUARY FOR PHYLLIS HALE HEINKEL HEINKEL, Phyllis Hale, age 85, of Otterbein-Lebanon Retirement Community, formerly of Middletown, went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 28, 2016 at her residence. She was born October 20, 1930 to Henry and Lillie Fairchild Hale in Warren County near Franklin. She attended Franklin schools and graduated from Lemon-Monroe High School Class of 1948. Phyllis worked as an accounting clerk at Diamond National and as a secretary for the Middletown City Schools at Monroe High, the Freshman High and the Administration Building retiring in 1994. Phyllis was a member of the Breiel Boulevard Church of God, where she sang in the choir, played bells, helped with the two-year olds in Sunday School and was treasurer for the church. She also belonged to the Naomi Missionary Circle and Keen-agers at the church. She did volunteer work at Otterbein, visiting people as part of the Advocate Committee, cashiering in Shaker Cellar, singing in the Ladies Chorus, playing bells and helping with the monthly birthday parties. She enjoyed music, reading and sewing and has made quilts for her grandchildren. Phyllis is survived by her four children: Connie (Gene) Dennis and Carol Evans of Middletown, Patty (Ron) Fogle of Carlisle, and John (Beth) Heinkel of Monroe; seven grandchildren: Brett Dennis, Heather Evans (Kyle) Crowe, Ryan (Elaine) Fogle, Krystle Fogle, Jamison Heinkel, Gwyneth Heinkel and Nathan (Yee) Heinkel; four great grandchildren: Lilyenne Crowe, Kamden Crowe, Cye Edsall, Alden Heinkel, and Hannah Fogle who is expected to arrive in April. She is also survived by a sister, Eva Cochran of Otterbein; brother, Henry (Sue) Hale of Springboro; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Visitation will be Saturday, April 2, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Otterbein Retirement Community Chapel, 585 N. State Rt. 741, Lebanon, Ohio 45036, followed by services at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Barbara Schnecker officiating. Interment will be at North Monroe Cemetery, Monroe, Ohio.
