GETZ, James D., age 67, of Middletown, Ohio passed away Friday, June 19, 2020 at Atrium Medical Center Emergency Room. He was born December 10, 1952 in LaGrange, Indiana and moved to Ohio in 1967. He graduated from Middletown High School Class of 1972. James was employed at the Labor’s Union Local 534 from 1972 to 1989, and then at the Millwrights Local Union for 14 years until 2011. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose #501, was an avid pool player, and enjoyed street drag racing. Preceding him in death were his parents, Roscoe H. and Martha A. (Gilbert) Getz; two brothers, John H. Getz and Jerry L. Getz; and Christine’s mother, Susan K. Getz in 2013. He is survived by one daughter, Christine Getz; one brother, Larry L. (Ronica) Getz; two sisters, Nadine (Gary) Begley and Robin Conley; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. There will be a Celebration of Life for James on Saturday, June 27, 2020 beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Willie’s Pub and Billiards, 1617 Germantown Road, Middletown, Ohio 45042.
