JIM BABER SR.

BABER, SR., Jim, age 76, of Springboro, Ohio, passed away Thursday, October 8, 2020 at Cleveland Clinic where he had been a patient for two days. He was born May 14, 1944 in Winchester, Kentucky and moved to Ohio when he was three years old. Jim graduated from Middletown High School Class of 1962. He was a driver for Air Products of Middletown, then AGA Trucking and Air Liquide. He then became the lead driver for The Judd’s Singers, transporting their sound equipment for 21 years retiring in 2010. He attended the Southwest Church of Springboro, Ohio. Jim owned a Harley and was a member of the Harley’s group H.O.G., and enjoyed taking motorcycle road trips with friends. He loved camping with his family and fishing. Preceding him in death were his parents, Asa Goodwin and Pauline (Watts) Baber. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Kay Witherspoon Baber; two sons, Jim (Margaret) Baber, Jr. and Eric (Heather) Baber; five grandchildren, Kristina, Leandra, Jamie, Peyton and Christopher; twin great grandsons, Brayden and Carter; one brother, Danny (Terri) Baber; and many extended family and friends. Visitation will be Thursday, October 15, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Southwest Church, 150 Remick Boulevard, Springboro, Ohio 45066, followed by services at 1:00 p.m. with Minister Roger Hendricks officiating. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery, Middletown, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Southwest Church, 150 Remick Boulevard, Springboro, Ohio 45066.
