Jones, Robert E., age 83 of Middletown, passed away on Monday, January 6, 2020 at the Hospice of Butler & Warren Counties. He was born on June 26, 1936 in Eaton, Ohio, the son of the late Earl & Katie Pearl (McCarty) Jones. Mr. Jones was a retired employee of the City of Middletown, and he enjoyed going to Franklin on Fridays to listen to Blue Grass Music. Preceded in death by his wife Joann, 5 brothers Lloyd, Ralph, Jerry, Carl & Don Jones, 5 sisters Charlene, Laura, Lavone, Evelyn & Carolyn. He is survived by 5 children Robert Jones and wife Caridad, Mark Jones and wife Karen, Brenda Nevitt and husband Colin, Jerry Jones, and Linda Ward and husband David, 9 grandchildren Christopher Jones, Rosita Jones, Michael Jones, Jimmy Jones, Ashley Vance, Bishop McGonigle, Clyde Vance, Jr., Austin Vance, and Jessica Ward, 13 great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, January 13, 2020 at the HERR-RIGGS FUNERAL HOME, 210 S. Main St., Middletown, Ohio 45044 with Pastor Bobby Reed officiating.
