WATSON, Vernon W., age 63, of Middletown, passed away in his home on Sunday, December 5, 2021. He was born September 1, 1958 in Middletown and lived here most of his life. Vernon worked construction most of his life and one of his biggest feats was working on the wooden roller coasters at Kings Island. Vern was very much a family man and would do anything for his friends and family. He enjoyed riding his motorcycles (his Harley and his 2008 S V Star), camping, fishing, playing pool and margaritas. He especially loved family gatherings and traveling with his family. He adored his grandchildren and loved watching his family grow. Preceding him in death were his parents Norma (Rupp) and Boyd Watson; and a sister, Louise Watson. He is survived by his wife, Teresa Watson; three children, Jessica Watson, Vernon Watson Jr., and Cristina Watson; three grandchildren, Makayia Watson, Mikey Cooke, and Elijah Watson; two brothers, Doug and Tommy Watson; two sisters Debbie Taylor and Donna Delber; and many special nephews, nieces, extended family and friends. Family, friends and others whose lives were touched by Vern are welcome to say their goodbyes at the visitation which will be Wednesday December 15, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at Herr Riggs Funeral Home, 210 S. Main Street, Middletown Ohio, 45044. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 noon with Pastor Burchelle Eldridge officiating. After the service he will take his last ride from the funeral home to the cemetery in a motorcycle escort hearse to his final resting place at Woodside Cemetery, Middletown, followed by a procession by his family and friends.
